We'll take just about any excuse to get out into the field and hunt for fossils, and we look forward to sharing the images and stories of our adventures, when we return. Our latest expedition was a 4,200 mile cross-country road trip with the New Jersey Paleontological Society. We searched the Cretaceous chalk of Kansas for signs of the mosasaurs and giant fish that roamed North America's long-vanished seas; hunted for Oligocene mammal remains in the Nebraska badlands; and scoured South Dakota for those elusive mother-or-pearl ammonites.
